A stray cat showed up at the window one day, ready to leave the streets behind for a warm, cozy bed.

Tommy Bahama, a handsome orange-and-white cat, was first seen strutting around the neighborhood like he ran the place.
A kind neighbor started leaving food out for him and eventually got him neutered and vetted. For a while, Tommy didn’t seem interested in indoor life. But that all changed a few months ago—he began showing up at windows, peeking in like he was ready to move in.
“He decided the outdoor life just wasn’t for him anymore,” shared Tails High, the volunteer-run rescue caring for him now.

He started hanging around doors and windows, brushing up against his caregiver’s legs, clearly craving food—and affection. “He’d peer through windows and even glance into neighbors’ doors, like he was searching for someone to let him in.”
When the team at Tails High heard about him, they knew he needed help. Volunteers quickly stepped in and found this sweet boy a loving foster home.
His foster mom, Kate, created a quiet little haven just for him—a cozy nook complete with a soft cubby bed where he could unwind. Tommy settled in right away and was especially excited about the bottomless food bowl. He devoured every meal like he was making up for lost time, then curled up for some serious rest.
Within just a few days, Tommy shed his street-cat shell and fully leaned into the indoor life. It was like he knew—he was finally home.

“Tommy is a very affectionate boy who loves a good cheek rub and some back scritches. He’s not quite brave enough to climb into your lap on his own just yet, but if you gently place him there, he’ll settle right in—and might even start kneading away like he’s baking a batch of biscuits.”
The moment his paws hit a soft blanket, his inner baker takes over, and his purr motor hums like a well-oiled machine. It’s his way of saying, this feels like home.

These days, Tommy lives the good life—lounging in cozy spots, soaking up the quiet comfort of being indoors. After years of fending for himself on the streets, he can finally nap without worry or fear. But don’t let his chill vibe fool you—crinkle a treat bag, and he’s alert in an instant, eyes wide and ears on high alert.
“Treats are absolutely the key to Tommy’s heart. His life motto? There’s nothing a little tuna or a Churu can’t fix.“

“His facial expressions (which always look stunned) are sure to make you laugh.” Since arriving in foster care, Tommy has blossomed into a big, lovable teddy bear. He has the patience of a saint and the calm, content spirit of a cat who’s simply grateful to be loved.
“He’ll let you dress him up, carry him around, and smother him with a thousand kisses—and he’ll purr through it all.”

Now fully adjusted to indoor life, Tommy is soaking up every bit of love and luxury. He’s ready to find his forever home—a place where he’ll be adored, pampered, and never have to worry again.
“Once he settles in, you’ll become his security human. If he ever gets startled, you can expect to find him hiding under your legs—his safe haven.”

No longer fending for himself or wondering where his next meal will come from, Tommy now enjoys soft blankets, hearty meals, and loving humans who cherish and spoil him every day.
